Wissahickon reaches final

A big second half carried the Wissahickon boys' basketball team into the final of its own tournament. The Trojans outscored Lansdale Catholic by 15 points after the break en route to a 66-46 win Thursday in the Wissahickon Holiday Tournament.

Chase Wilson scored 20 points, and Chris Carradorini and Chris Vila each added 16. Carradorini sank four three-pointers.

Wissahickon will face Souderton, a 55-42 winner over Truman, in Friday's final at 4:30 p.m.

Carter Knight led Souderton with 19 points and Evan Sloane scored 16. Jared Bernhart chipped in with 10.

Constitution Convention Holiday Tournament. Jamar Brisbon scored all 13 of his points in the first half, and Boys' Latin cruised to an 80-34 defeat of Maritime Academy at Gustine Rec. Gus Sephes added five points and nine rebounds. Pasquale Dimascio scored 11, and Naim Walton had 10.

Olney blitzed Mariana Bracetti, 82-30. Shakeem Stevens led the way with 16 points and 10 assists. Tyheim Monroe scored 11 points, and Paulil Campbell and Ryheem Parker each had 10.

Girls' Basketball

A pair of Suburban One rivals will square off for a tournament title on the Jersey shore Friday after big wins Thursday in the Ray Martin bracket of the Boardwalk Classic at the Wildwoods Convention Center.

Sarah Oliveira scored 14 points, and McKenna Mullin added 10 as Neshaminy downed Ocean City, 38-23. Neshaminy led 14-5 after the first quarter.

In the other game, North Penn rolled past Wilmington Christian, 58-21. Jess Huber scored a season-high 12 points, and Irisa Ye scored seven of her nine points in the third quarter. Vicky Tumasz scored 10.

Wissahickon Holiday Tournament. Katie Armstrong's 22 points lifted Perkiomen Valley to a 39-27 win over host Wissahickon. Juliana Hoisington added nine.

Allison Gallagher poured in 24 points to carry Souderton by Southern Lehigh, 51-34. Hannah Bergey scored nine.

Nonleague. Kejohna Hammond scored 10 of her 16 in the fourth quarter, as Baldwin held off visiting Bishop McDevitt, 49-40. Jen Motter had 15 points, three steals, and seven rebounds.
