But Ridley turned an otherwise miserable night into a memorable one, rallying for four second-half goals to down host Conestoga, 6-4, in a Central League game.

Brock Anderson and Lou Harrison each scored twice. Matt Borchert and Nolan Fox added single goals.

"They've had our number the past couple of years, so it was nice to win tonight," Ridley assistant coach Doug Ellers said. "Our defense played well."

The Ridley defense, led by Jon Lyman, Mike Cropper, Ben Kellett, and John Saunders, did not allow a goal in the second half. Dawson Faust made 10 saves.

In another Central League game, Penncrest remained unbeaten with an 18-7 win at Strath Haven. Will Manganiello scored four goals, and Alex Bonnett and Drew Hanna added three apiece.

Pioneer Athletic. Shawn Dickey and Ben Minardi each scored three goals, and Perkiomen Valley edged host Boyertown, 14-13. Shawn Coulter and Zach Lynn had two goals apiece.

Suburban One American. Alex Savarese scored three goals to pace Plymouth Whitemarsh in a 9-3 win over visiting Upper Merion. Ed Gruchacz and Pat McGrath added two goals each.

Friends Schools. Jesse Frazier scored four goals, and James Vandergrift and Cam Elliot had three apiece as Academy of the New Church rolled to a 13-5 victory at Friends' Central.

Baseball

Holy Ghost Prep received more good pitching and won its ninth consecutive game, beating Devon Prep, 4-1, in a Bicentennial Independence contest.

Curt Staropoli and Tim Brennan combined for 13 strikeouts. Dylan Simcik hit a two-run double in the fourth inning.

Bicentennial Constitution. The Browne brothers led host Delco Christian to a 16-6 win over Plumstead Christian. Senior first baseman D.L. Browne went 2 for 2 with three RBIs, three runs scored, and four stolen bases. Danny Browne, a freshman third baseman, drove in two runs and scored twice.

Catholic Blue. Anthony Russo allowed two hits over 62/3 innings, and Archbishop Wood blanked visiting Archbishop Carroll, 2-0. Austin Hill went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Friends Schools. Freshman righthander Tom Primosch struck out six and didn't allow an earned run in six innings, and Germantown Friends downed visiting Shipley, 10-1. Jack Guida had two hits, including a triple, and he scored twice and knocked in two runs.

Luke Haug played catalyst for George School in an 11-1 defeat of visiting Westtown. Haug, a sophomore centerfielder, went 3 for 3 with five stolen bases. He scored four runs and had two RBIs.
