Pa. Girls: Blazejewski, Pennsbury topple PW

Amy Blazejewski tied the game at the end of regulation, then scored the opening basket in overtime and Pennsbury held on to top visiting Plymouth Whitemarsh, 36-29, in a nonleague girls' basketball game on Tuesday.

Niasia Boone had nine points and five rebounds for the Falcons, who trailed by four with a minute left in regulation.

In other nonleague action:

Sophomore Mary Sheehan paired 10 points with a career-high 21 rebounds to power Cardinal O'Hara to a 69-52 win at West Chester Rustin. Fellow sophomore Hannah Nihill also had a double-double with 10 rebounds and a game-high 26 points.

Liz O'Leary piled up 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists as Abington rolled over visiting Souderton, 61-23. Deja Rawls led all players with 17 points.

Nicole Munger had 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals to propel Central Bucks West past Neshaminy, 61-25. Mackenzie Carroll added 16 points and seven rebounds.

Essence Walden came off the bench and scored 10 of her 18 points in the second half to lead Springside Chestnut Hill to a 44-36 victory at Germantown Friends.

The Jimenez sisters - junior Naomi (17 points, eight rebounds) and sophomore Eunice (17 points, six assist) - led the way for Westtown in its 49-36 victory at St. Andrews (Del.).

Miranda Hill scored 12 of her 14 points from beyond the arc as Kennett cut down visiting West Chester East, 43-27.

Abby Ward scored 11 points to lead Lansdale Catholic at Abington Friends, 46-37. The Crusaders went 6 for 8 from the line in the fourth.

Regie Robinson scored 18 points in Upper Merion's 47-45 come-from-behind victory over visiting Penn Wood. Dahnye Redd dropped a game-high 22 points for Penn Wood.

Sophomore Kate Lannan had 17 points and 16 rebounds to lead Academy Park to a 48-44 victory at Sun Valley.

Julie Cross paired 15 points with 11 rebounds and visiting Upper Dublin topped Central Bucks East, 44-26.

Taylor Putman scored 11 points, including two crucial three-pointers in the fourth quarter, to help North Penn outlast host Downingtown West, 45-41.

Ayanna Matthews led all players with 18 points in Penn Charter's 56-43 victory over visiting Shipley.

Danielle Hammond racked up 12 rebounds, four assists and three blocks to help host Baldwin stop Sacred Heart, 53-19. Kayla Watkins had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Angela Pomponio scored 15 in William Tennent's 49-34 home win over Springfield (Montco).

Catholic Academies. Karen Lapkiewicz (18 points, 14 rebounds) and Natalie Kucowski (10 rebounds, eight blocks, seven assists) both recorded double-doubles for St. Basil in its 50-36 win at Merion Mercy.

Katie Mooney scored 10 of her 18 points in the third quarter to help Villa Maria pull away for a 55-35 victory over visiting Nazareth Academy. Mooney also had seven rebounds and five steals. Marissa Picinich added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Caitlyn Cunningham had 16 points, seven rebounds and a pair of steals and Mount St. Joseph topped visiting Villa Joseph Marie, 56-27.

Catholic. Bailey Greenberg scored 10 points to lead 14 Archbishop Wood scorers in a 74-20 rout of visiting Conwell-Egan.

Central. Freshman Izzy Meline paired eight points with 11 rebounds in host Lower Merion's 47-43 victory over Penncrest. Bethany Eldridge scored six of her 10 points during a 12-2 Lower Merion run to open the third quarter.

Katie Fisher scored 15 of her game-high 21 before halftime in Strath Haven's 46-33 victory at Ridley. Fisher also had nine rebounds and four assists. Rachel Vresilovic added 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Pioneer. Abby Kapp scored 14 and Maria Garofolo followed with 11 to help Boyertown roll to a 52-20 win at Methacton.

Nomi Washington scored 17 of her 19 points before halftime and Phoenixville headed to Pottsgrove and won, 48-45.

KT Armstrong poured in 24 points to lead visiting Perkiomen Valley past Owen J. Roberts, 54-47.

Bicentennial Independence. Toni Suler blocked seven shots to help New Hope-Solebury shut down visiting Lower Moreland, 37-19.

Julie Cervone scored 18 points, Victoria Stum pulled down nine rebounds and Mary Pelullo grabbed eight steals for Calvary Christian in a 48-17 victory over visiting MaST Charter.

Penn-Jersey. Qiana Vigo put up 24 points, three steals, and six rebounds as Solebury School turned away visiting Calvary Christian (N.J.), 54-28.
