Pa. Girls: Sacred Heart nips McDevitt, 63-61

NONLEAGUE Sacred Heart 63, Bishop McDevitt 61: Eileen Piombino hit a three-pointer with 1 minute, 20 seconds remaining in overtime to put the host Lions up for good.

Jessica McTaggart and Lauren Kilroy converted two free throws each in overtime for Sacred Heart.

Bishop McDevitt's Sierra Dacosta sank a pair of free throws with two seconds remaining in regulation to force the extra period. Dacosta, who had a game-high 29 points, also drained a shot from just inside half-court at the buzzer in the first half.

Sacred Heart's Madison Schneider had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and McTaggart dished out six assists.


Perkiomen School 42, Pennington 40: Kristen Burdo had 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers at Solebury School.

Friends' Central 67, Solebury School 34: Iyanna McCurdy scored 29 points to lead the Phoenix. Denia Campbell scored 17 for host Solebury School.


Westtown 41, Friends Select 19: Naomi Jimenez had 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists for the hosts.


Faith Christian 40, Morrisville 37: Ashley Parylak went 4 for 5 from the free-throw line down the stretch to help Faith Christian hold on.


Merion Mercy 50, Villa Joseph Marie 27: Jada Smith had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks; Valez Jackson had four assists; and the visiting Golden Bears rolled.


Garnet Valley 44, Conestoga 29: Jordan Ireland scored 16 points to lead the visiting Jaguars. Jill Mascioli pulled down eight rebounds for Conestoga.

Ridley 66, Upper Darby 35: Hailee Mayer scored nine of her 12 points during a 27-point third quarter to help the hosts pull away.

Strath Haven 52, Harriton 31: Katie Fisher poured in 10 of her 17 points in the third quarter to help the visitors pull away. Sophia Grady had 22 points, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds for Harriton.


Abington Friends 54, Germantown Friends 14: Alexa Middleton had 10 rebounds, and Sheryl Remolde dished out six assists to lead the hosts.


Penn Charter 36, Baldwin 20: Ayanna Matthews scored seven of her 16 points during a 15-2 first quarter for the visiting Quakers.


Pope John Paul II 71, Pottsgrove 32: Dahlia Wilson put up 11 points and 11 rebounds for the victorious hosts.


Central 53, Northeast 23: Shanique Mattis had 14 points and five assists, and Reunisha Williams had 14 points and three assists for the winning hosts.

Mastery North 47, Simon Gratz 38: Cilah Womack had 20 points and four steals, and Stephanie Reed had 20 points and 10 rebounds to power the visitors.

Lincoln 37, Franklin Towne Charter 34: Alexis Parsley shot a three-pointer from the left side of the arc just before the buzzer to win it for the visitors. Karla Williams had the assist.

Bartram 57, Dobbins 10: Bryce Garrett had 28 points, 5 steals, and 7 assists to lead the hosts. Sydney Barrows added 13 points and 10 assists, and Cianni Matthews had 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Palumbo 41, Parkway Center City 40: Katelyn Griffin sank a foul shot with four seconds remaining to win it for the visitors. Ariana dos Santos had five steals.
