Pa. wrestling: Norristown tops Upper Moreland

Hall (145 pounds) squeaked in his pin in 5 minutes, 58 seconds to put the Eagles within 36-35. Johnson (152) then took down his opponent in 5:26 to seal the victory.

Rich Maggio earned a 6-2 decision at 138 to start Norristown's late run.

Dom DeLaurentis (170, 1:57) scored an early first-period pin for Upper Moreland.

Suburban One Continental. Joe Kracz pinned his opponent in 3:20 to help Pennridge stay undefeated in league play with a 68-9 home win over Hatboro-Horsham. Kyle Gentile (30 seconds, 170), Ezra Outlaw (28 seconds, 220), Matt Parker (44 seconds, 106) and Joshua Stillings (44 seconds, 132) all earned sub-one minute pins for Pennridge.

Micah Jones (41 seconds, 220) had the quickest pin in Quakertown's 55-18 triumph at Central Bucks South. Central Bucks South's Kyle Murphy recorded a fall in 1:31 at 126.

Suburban One National. Adian Burke wrapped up his opponent in 16 seconds to help Council Rock North cruise, 52-3, at Abington. Tom Matarazzo (120) and Nick Nucero (138) both recorded 50-second pins.

Neshaminy opened with five straight wins, including Noah Kisselback's 45-second pin at 195, and went on to triunph, 51-29 over visiting Truman.

Bicentennial. Chris Thompson (138) won by pin in 1:00 and New Hope-Solebury rolled to a 66-0 victory over visiting Delco Christian.

Central. Andrew Lee (138) recorded a pin in 1:01 to highlight Haverford High's 62-13 victory at Harriton.

Dave Wood pinned his opponent in 42 seconds during Garney Valley's 66-12 victory over visiting Lower Merion.

Ches-Mont. Wesley McGuire earned a 10-1 major decision to lead Coatesville to a 45-21 win at Avon Grove. Brent Windle (138, 1:25) and Colin McBride (145, 1:24) recorded back-to-back first-period pins for the Red Raiders.

Del-Val. Danny Mea won by fall in 3:20 to seal Interboro's 39-36 home win over Glen Mills.

Pioneer. Chris DeFrancesco pinned his foe in 4:00 to propel Pottsgrove to a 54-30 home win over Pope John Paul II.

Lucas Miller (132) ground out a 4-3 decision over Logan Pennypacker to spur Boyertown to a 60-7 victory over visiting Pottsgrove. Boyertown's Chase Banyai pinned his foe in 20 seconds at 113. Pottstown's Mason Pennypacker earned a 12-3 decision at 145.

Delaware Independent Schools. Westtown lost, 60-9, at Sanford but senior Luke Neal won his 100th career win over Timmy with a 13-9 victory at 145. Neal, who has wrestled since eighth grade, is the fifth wrestler in program history to crack 100 wins. Westtown's all-time wins record is 113, held by Alex Becker (2011).
