Pa. boys and girls: Germantown Friends' Walker wins 800 at Stanford

Germantown Friends junior Sarah Walker placed first in the 800 meters Saturday at the Stanford Invitational hosted by Stanford University.

Germantown Friends junior Sarah Walker placed first in the 800 meters Saturday at the Stanford Invitational hosted by Stanford University.

Walker finished in 2 minutes, 10.56 seconds, the fifth-best time in the nation this season.

Colonial Relays. Andrew Marston won the 3,000 meters for Conestoga in a time of 8:39.42 at William and Mary in Williamsburg. Tabriz Bumpas, Chris Della Donna, Winston Eubanks, and Charles Headen won the 4x100-meter relay for La Salle with a 43.96.

Council Rock Kiwanis Invitational. Cheltenham's Christian Brissett won both the 100-meter dash (10.80) and 200-meter dash (21.91) at Council Rock North.

Baseball

Anthony Pacitti picked up the win and belted a two-run home run to lead Father Judge over Washington, 10-0, in a nonleague game at home. Jim Huston added a double, a home run, and three RBIs.

Steve Furman had a pair of hits and three RBIs to aid Bonner-Prendergast in a 7-5 win at Malvern Prep. Collin DiGalbo earned the win and stuck out 11 batters over five innings.

Bay To's third-inning single drove in the lone run in Neumann-Goretti's 1-0 win over visiting Springside Chestnut Hill. Ethan Pritchett, To, and Nick D'Amore combined for the shutout.

Softball

Lauren Morell hit a single to give Bensalem a 3-2 win over Little Flower at home. Jackie Morell recorded the win and struck out 11. Meg Nally was 2 for 2 with a double, a triple and two RBIs.

Boys' Lacrosse

Drew Supinski netted five goals to power Haverford School in an 11-5 win over visiting St. Anthony's (N.C.). Dox Aitken added a pair of goals. Alex DeMarco had 13 saves.

Girls' Lacrosse

Kerry Huzzard scored four goals, Anna Dempsey added three, and Owen J. Roberts downed host Exeter, 11-4. Sarah Maute and Devon Hennessey had seven saves and six saves, respectively.
