Pa. Girls: Pa. girls: Kremp twins power Jenkintown win

Ashley Kremp and Jennifer Kremp are twin sisters on the Jenkintown basketball team. And in the big first half of a 50-32 win over Bristol in a Bicentennial League game, they produced identical stat lines.

They each scored nine points in the first half as Jenkintown built a 40-9 halftime lead.

Jennifer Kremp led Jenkintown with 11 points; Ashley Kremp finished with nine.

In other Bicentennial League action:

Rachel Millan netted 12 points and had a pair of steals to lead Lower Moreland to a 48-21 win over visiting MaST Charter. Erica Fleck netted six points and grabbed six rebounds.

Tracey Goodman had 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 4 assists to pace Phil-Mont Christian to a 66-40 win over visiting Morrisville. Kayla Griffin scored all of her 14 points in the first half and finished with four steals.

Inter-Ac. Katie Mayock netted 13 points and grabbed six rebounds to help Notre Dame defeat host Baldwin, 44-27. Jill Kane had eight points, two steals, two assists, and two rebounds. Caitlin Clark and Rachel Ryan each scored six points.

Catholic. Caroline Manfre had 16 points, 11 steals, and four rebounds as Bonner-Prendergast rolled over visiting West Catholic, 77-39. Emily Monaghan netted eight points and grabbed four rebounds. Maeve McCann and Maggie McPeak each had 12 points. Jaelyn Durrett and Christina Young each added nine points.

Catholic Academies. Mount St. Joseph rolled to a seventh consecutive win to start the season with a 56-20 victory over visiting Nazareth Academy. Caitlyn Cunningham had 14 points, six assists, five rebounds, and five steals. Kristen Lucas registered 12 points, four assists, three rebounds, and three steals.

Brigit Coleman had 17 points and Erica DeCandido added 13 points, and Gwynedd Mercy knocked off St. Basil, 43-29, at home.

Jada Smith netted 20 points, including 11 in the second half, to help Merion Mercy claim a 57-42 victory over visiting Villa Maria. Gabby Heinsinger added 14 points.

Emily Keehfuss led Villa Joseph Marie with 19 points in a 58-14 win at Sacred Heart. Julia Hagan added 13 points.

Ches-Mont. Maddie Shanahan and Grace Schrof combined to shoot 4 for 5 from the foul line in the final three minutes to carry Unionville to a 39-36 win over visiting Kennett. Shanahan and Schrof had nine and seven points, respectively. Sam Pancoast led Unionville with 13 points, including seven in the second quarter. The senior had 23 rebounds.

Maggie O'Hara had 21 points, including five of her team's 11 three-pointers, to carry West Chester Rustin to a 64-44 win at Oxford.

Pioneer Athletic. K.T. Armstrong led Perkiomen Valley with 15 points in a 50-27 win over visitor Phoenixville. Megan Jonassen added 11 points.

Nonleague. Nya Searight netted 26 points to lead host Hallahan to a 78-50 win over Overbrook. Shantalay Hightower scored 17 points in Academy Park's 62-28 win over visiting Conwell-Egan. Raven-Monet Kemper netted 13 points.

Erica Brant scored 15 points, including seven in the third quarter, to aid Chichester in a 42-28 victory over visiting Sankofa Freedom. Lauren Carrafa, who netted 13 points, scored five in the third.

Jade Young had 16 points and five assists in Abington Friends' 66-15 win over visiting Solebury School. Khadijah Hickson had eight points and five steals.
