The All-City Basketball Classic, with three games scheduled Friday at Bishop McDevitt and three Sunday at Southern, features eight of Southeastern Pennsylvania's preseason top-25 boys' teams.

Number 14-ranked Archbishop Carroll takes on No. 24 Shipley at 5 p.m. Friday at McDevitt. Carroll is led by guards Justin Anderson and A.J. Hoggard and 6-foot-4 forward Keyon Butler. Shipley is ignited by point guard and Binghamton recruit Sam Sessoms, 5-10 wing guard Khai Champion, and 6-10 center Ray Somerville.

The 5-foot-10 Sessoms poured in 37 points as the Gators surprised No. 5 Neumann-Goretti, 69-64, in Saturday's Scholastic Play-by-Play Tip-Off Classic at Carroll. He is averaging 25.8 points through five games.

Also Friday in Wyncote, No. 3 Archbishop Wood faces Overbrook at 6:45 p.m., and No. 8 Roman Catholic meets No. 13 Cheltenham at 8:30 p.m.

Roman is spurred by 6-6 forward Seth Lundy, 6-4 wing and Towson recruit Allen Betrand, and guard Lynn Greer III. Cheltenham counters with 6-7 wing guard Jack Clark, and 6-6 forward Kyin Healey.

On Sunday in South Philly, Neumann-Goretti, No. 18 Girard College and No. 2 Imhotep Charter are pitted against out-of-state foes Our Savior New American (N.Y.), Wings Academy (N.Y.), and Roselle Catholic (N.J.), respectively.
