Saturday's Pa. roundup: Denijsha Wilson is first girl to reach 1,000 for Audenried

Saturday's top basketball highlights.

Denijsha Wilson is the first girl in Audenried history to surpass 1,000 points with a 34-point outing Saturday as the girls' basketball team defeated KIPP DuBois, 59-45. It also marked Wilson's fourth straight game scoring more than 30 points.

Paige Mott scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Abington Friends team past Imhotep Charter, 43-40. Mott also added six assists and four blocks. Mihjae Hayes scored a team-high 14 points for the Kangatoos.

Andrea Prestianne scored a game-high 25 points as Kennett took down Avon Grove, 56-50. The Blue Demons benefitted from nine scorers.

Mahya Woodton scored 29 points to lift Harriton over Academy Park, 54-46. Christina Brown recorded a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.

Halle Brown scored 19 points and had five assists in Westtown's 60-44 win over Hun School. Emma Diaz added 10 points for the victors.

Emily McAteer's 22 points helped Great Valley beat West Chester Rustin, 60-41. Maggie O'Hare scored a game-high 24 points in a losing effort.

Dayna Balasa made four three-pointers and had 14 points in Upper Dublin's 53-36 victory over North Penn. Jackie Vargas scored 13 and Nicole Kaiser added 12 points for the Cardinals.

Haley Crossley, Kelly Scipione, and Emma Stanfield scored eight points apiece as William Tennent beat Pennsbury, 31-24.

Sadie Buzan's 12 points helped Great Valley to a 38-32 victory over Methacton. Katie Peduto added eight points for the victors.

Abby Walheim's 22 points and 11 rebounds lifted Villa Maria to a 62-42 win over Sacred Heart. Paige Lauder added 11 points and Julia Samar contributed with six assists.

Katie Mayock's 23 points and 12 rebounds led Conestoga to a 58-34 win over Penn Wood. Nia Scott added 19 points and five steals for the Pioneers.

Reilly Owens scored 10 points as Pottstown defeated Quakertown, 43-22.

Amaia Collins scored 19 points in Friends Select 51-26 win over Science Leadership. Hannah Sieg, Hannah Caskey, and Camryn Harvie each recorded nine rebounds.

Grace Ferguson scored 18 points as W.C. Henderson knocked off Oxford, 41-32.

Erin Phelan scored 22points in Downingtown East's 67-49 triumph over Berwick. Bella Smuda added 18 points for the victors. The Cougars outscored the Bulldogs 26-6 in the third quarter.

Boys’ Basketball

Chris Arcidiacono scored 31 of Neshaminy's 48 points in a 48-45 victory over Holy Ghost Prep.

Andrew Funk led a total of four double figure scorers with 13 points as Archbishop Wood edged Shipley, 57-56. Karrington Wallace, Seth Pickney, and Julius Phillips all reached double figures for the Vikings. Sam Sessoms scored a game-high 23 points for the Gators.

Stephon Maddox scored 24 points as Audenried edged Simon Gratz, 58-53. Quadri Blount scored 24 points in a losing effort.

Alex Capitano scored 25 points as Episcopal Academy edged Knox School N.Y., 56-53. Jack Fitzpatrick added 10 points and Justin Hershey made three threes for his nine points.

Imere Harris scored 21 points as West Catholic downed Germantown Academy, 62-54. Samier Kinsler added 14 points for the Burrs.

Walter Hester scored 22 points in Paul Robeson's 71-50 win over Springside Chestnut Hill. Davantae Smith added 14 points for the victors.

Toure Mosley-Banks scored a team-high 13 points in Friends' Central's 54-48 victory over Solebury School. Josh Friday added 8 points and 12 rebounds for the Phoenix.

Jake Reichwein scored 16 points and had eight rebounds as Central Bucks West defeated Methacton, 47-42. Shane McCusker added 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Ed Croswell's 19 points and seven rebounds led St. Joseph's Prep to an 88-46 win over St. Ignatius (Aus.). Kyle Thompson and Gabe Arizin added 18 and 17 points, respectively.
