Hunter Hinrichs had two touchdown catches as Owen J. Roberts beat Pottstown, 42-0, in the final Thanksgiving Day game between the two schools.

The Wildcats were coming off a loss to Downingtown East in the first round of the District 1 Class 6A playoffs.

It was decided earlier this month that the 59th consecutive Turkey Day meeting between these rivals would be the last.

The Pottstown school district cited new PIAA rules regarding the length of the season and number of games allowed and the amount of time between the regular season and Thanksgiving as major reasons for the decision.

Ridley 38, Interboro 20:  Ociele Miller ran for three touchdowns to lead the Green Raiders, who scored 31 unanswered points after the Buccaneers took a 6-0 lead.

Kamal Richardson recorded two rushing touchdowns for the Green Raiders. Andrew Grieb had three interceptions and a rushing touchdown for the Buccaneers, who lost to Pottsgrove in the semifinals of the District 1 Class 4A playoffs.

Ridley leads the series, 37-12.

Pennridge 34, Quakertown 6: Nick Tarburton had one rushing and one receiving touchdown as the Rams beat the Panthers agains. Pennridge took down Quakertown in the first round of the PIAA District 1 Class 6A playoffs.

Bristol 30, Morrisville 6: Eric Bell ran for two touchdowns to lead Bristol past Morrisville. Samir Brisbon added a pair of touchdown passes for the Warriors, who fell to West Catholic in the semifinals of the District 1/District 12 Class 2A subregional.

Roman Catholic 46, Roxborough 0: Malik Griffin accounted for three touchdowns as Roman Catholic cruised past Roxborough. Jeff Grosso threw three touchdowns passes for the Cahillites, who lost to La Salle in the semifinals of the Catholic League Class 6A playoffs.

Haverford High 14, Upper Darby 7: Haverford High sneaked past Upper Darby thanks to Jake Ruane's 11-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Mosley on the first play of the fourth quarter.

Trey Blair and Bryant Leschak had interceptions on defense to secure the win for the Fords, who were coming off a loss to North Penn in the first round of the District 1 Class 6A playoffs.

Southern 44, Palumbo 6: Southern finished the season with two 1,000-yard rushers for the first time in school history. Zaki Samuels (1,061) and Dwayne Parks (1,049) each reached the milestone for rushing yards in the victory.
