Highlights from Tuesday's South Jersey action.

Girls' Soccer

Palmyra dominated Burlington City, winning 7-0, in the first round of the Central Group One playoffs. Julia Carducci had a hat trick for the Panthers while Maura Scott made two saves for the shutout.

Deptford defeated Seneca, 2-1, in the first round of the South Group Three playoffs. The Spartans took the lead early in the second half on a goal from Leah Giles, but the Golden Eagles tied it up with less than two minutes in the game sending the game to overtime. Giles assisted Marlene Gonzalez four and a half minutes into the overtime period to win the game. Ashley Sharpsteen made 12 saves for the Spartans.

Maple Shade defeated Middlesex, 1-0 in the first round of the Central Group One playoffs. Marissa Lotierzo made three saves for the shutout. Brionna Olesky was the lone scorer for the Wildcats.

Boys' Soccer

Winslow Township upset Absegami, 3-1, in the first round of the South Group Three boys' soccer playoffs on Tuesday. Absegami took the lead in the second half after a scoreless first. Darrian Wittock tied the game off an assist from Vilbert Fortulus. Kofi Asante scored the game winner and a second goal to seal the victory for the Eagles. Wittock and Cesar Cerritos assited Asante's two goals.

Shawnee defeated Cherokee, 2-1, in overtime in the first round of the South Group Four playoffs. The Chiefs scored four minutes into the game to take the lead. Aidan Lewis tied the game for the Renegades off an assist from Kane Feudtner in the 77th minute to send it into overtime. Feudtner scored two minutes into the overtime period on assist from Ben Dellmyer. Phil Gardella made three saves for the win.

Sterling defeated Pleasantville, 4-0, in the first round of the South Group Two playoffs. Bryan Andrade, a junior, became the seventh player in school history to break 100 points after scoring twice and making two assits for the Silver Knights.

Haddon Township defeated Buena, 4-0, in the first round of the South Group One playoffs. Brett Hintz made three saves for the shutout. Brian Burns, Jacob Chatten,  Jared Green, and Collin Madden each scored for the Hawks showing a full team effort in their victory.

Field Hockey

Seneca defeated Wall Township, 8-0, in the semifinals of the Central Group Two playoffs. There was a full team effort in the victory with seven different scorers for the Golden Eagles, Samantha Derkas scored twice. Kaitlyn Birnbohm-Kaminski had three assists and Julia Collins had one while Jenna Flemings made two saves for the win.

Delsea defeated Sterling, 5-0, in the South Group Two semifinals. Sierra Giuliano had two assists for the Crusaders and Allie Tenenberg and Cara Kientz each had one. Hailey Abbott made two saves for the shutout. Dawn Lombardi scored twice, the only shooter with multiple goals.
