The 11/8-mile, $150,000 Grade III Obeah Stakes on June 12 at Delaware Park could be the next start for 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra.

Owner Jess Jackson included the Obeah Stakes with three other possibilities for the 4-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro. The Obeah Stakes is the local prep for the 11/4-mile, $750,000 Grade II Delaware Handicap on July 17.

In two starts this year, the Kentucky-bred has finished second both times. In her most recent outing, she finished second beaten a head in the mile and a sixteenth $400,000 La Troienne at Churchill Downs on April 30.

"Rachel Alexandra's condition continues to improve. We were impressed with Rachel's Memorial Day work breezing six furlongs 1:11.20 and galloping out a mile in 1:38. Her next work is Monday.
