Raging bull

HAVE YOU HEARD about the raging bull? Not Jake LaMotta, but a real, live snorting animal. Seems the 1,100-pound ornery critter got tired of the same-old same-old at a bullfight in Madrid. So, he jumped into the stands, scattering and injuring spectators. In a statement yesterday, the regional government said 40 people were treated for minor injuries. But three, including a 10-year-old boy, remained in a hospital in Pamplona, the town best known for its annual running of the bulls.

Inaki Zunzarren, who was among those banged up, told the Diario de Navarra newspaper, "The bull caught me and hurled me against the [concrete] seating. What an experience!"

It was an experience for the bull, too. He was caught and killed.

Accumulating wrong kind of points

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has three players who are fast and reckless. But that's off the field, not on it. On Wednesday, tight end Fred Davis pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended or revoked license and falsely identifying himself to law enforcement. On the same day, receiver Malcolm Kelly was found guilty in absentia for driving without a license and making an improper lane change. Not to be outdone, rookie left tackle Trent Williams has to appear in court for a reckless driving charge, after being caught driving 90 mph in a 55 mph zone.
