Game: Dallas Cowboys (8-7) at Eagles (13-2)

TV: Fox (Kenny Albert, Ronde Barber, Kristina Pink).

Radio: 94WIP (Merrill Reese, Mike Quick, Howard Eskin).

Spanish radio: La Mega, 105.7 FM (Rickie Ricardo, Gus Salazar, Maria Berral).

Line: Cowboys -2.5. Over-under: 39.5.

Cowboys vs. spread: 7-7-1.

Eagles vs. spread: 10-5.

Spread stuff: The insignificance this game has in the standings takes the juice out of the trends, but we'll pass them along anyhow. … This will be the first time the Eagles are underdogs since winning outright at Carolina in Week 6. The Birds are 2-1 ATS as a 'dog; this will be the first time they are not favored at home this season. … The Eagles have won nine in a row at the Linc and had covered five in a row until last week. Derek Barnett's game-ending touchdown off a fumble recovery wasn't enough to cover the 9.5- or 10-point spread, but it sure helped teaser bets. … The Cowboys are 6-4-1 against the spread when favored. … The under has come out in seven of Dallas' last eight games — six of which while running back Ezekiel Elliott was suspended. On the other hand, in the nine games Elliott has played this season, the over has hit five times. … The weather does not figure to lend itself to a high-scoring game.

Weather forecast: Frigid with a high of 22 and wind chills in the single digits. Easy on the booze, folks.

History lesson: The Cowboys lead the all-time series, 65-52 (including playoffs). The teams are 28-28 in games in Philadelphia, with Dallas holding an 8-6 advantage at Lincoln Financial Field. … The Eagles have won the last two and haven't beaten the Cowboys three times in a row since the 2003-04 seasons.

Referee: John Parry has been an NFL official since 2000 and a referee since 2007. He was the side judge when the Eagles beat the Falcons for the NFC Championship after the 2004 season. The Eagles are 5-4 in games Parry has been the head referee, including the 2010 game when DeSean Jackson beat the Giants with a stunning punt return at the buzzer. (He's in the clip below, wearing No. 132.) Parry reffed the Super Bowl after the 2011 season when the Giants beat the Patriots for the second time in five years. The Cowboys are 6-5 in games refereed by Parry.

Numbers games: The Eagles can set a team record for most wins in a regular season. The only other time they won 13 was in 2004 when they went to their second Super Bowl. … Tight end Brent Celek needs five catches for 400 and 15 yards for 5,000 in his stellar Eagles career. He's fourth in team history in receptions, behind only Harold Carmichael (589), Pete Retzlaff (452) and Brian Westbrook (426). He's eighth in yardage.

What's next: The Eagles have clinched the NFC's top seed and will host a divisional playoff game Jan. 13 or 14 against a team that will be decided next weekend. The guess here is it will be the Saints or the Panthers. But that's just a guess. Up next for Dallas will be preparing to host the draft in April.

What we'll be watching: Nick Foles' footwork, the Eagles run defense against Elliott, and whether the South Philly Vikings can defend their fancy brigade title. Happy New Year to all.
