Santos ripped his league-leading seventh homer off Thunder reliever Paul Thorp with one out in the ninth. That was the only hit allowed by Thorp in his one inning of work.

Trenton (19-3) rallied in the bottom half with three hits, but two runners were thrown out at the plate, including Carlos Mendoza to end the game on a throw by rightfielder David Smith.

Erie 5, Reading 4

ERIE - Michael Holliman singled in the winning run to cap a ninth-inning rally as the SeaWolves beat the Phillies in the Eastern League.

Reading had wiped out a 3-0 Erie lead with a four-run eighth. The first run scored on SeaWolves third baseman Kody Kirkland's fielding error with the bases loaded.

Two batters later, Jason Hill ripped a two-run double, and Michael Costanzo followed with a sacrifice fly for the short-lived lead.

Ottawa 3, Louisville 2

OTTAWA, Ontario - Gary Burnham's RBI single in the bottom of the 11th lifted the Lynx over the Bats in the International League.

Burnham plated Jason Jaramillo, who reached base on third baseman Aaron Herr's error and advanced on Lou Collier's sacrifice. Burnham's single snapped an 0-for-13 streak.

Former Philadelphia Phillies reliever Matt Smith (1-0) pitched around a single in the 11th for the win.
