Interleague games will resume this weekend, and

Chipper Jones

is not happy with this season's setup.

The Atlanta Braves third baseman criticized the format that requires the Braves to meet the Red Sox and the Mets to oppose the Yankees six times each, while other NL East teams such as the Phillies play less-rugged schedules.

"I don't think there's any question it's not fair, but I don't think Major League Baseball is concerned with fair," Jones said. "If you play the top teams in the American League and everybody else doesn't, it's pretty unfair."

The Phillies' interleague schedule includes games against the losing-record Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals.

The Colorado Rockies traded pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim to the Florida Marlins for fellow righthander Jorge Julio.

Kim went 1-2 with a 10.50 ERA in three relief appearances with the Rockies. He has a 45-52 record in 369 career major-league games with Arizona, Boston and Colorado. Julio was 0-2 with a 12.54 ERA.

The New York Mets optioned righthander Mike Pelfrey (0-5, 6.53 ERA ) to triple-A New Orleans and called up outfielder Carlos Gomez.

The Minnesota Twins designated righthander Sidney Ponson (2-5) for assignment.

The Seattle Mariners acquired righthander Jason Davis (0-0, 4.76 ERA) from the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named.
