Phillies RHP Roy Halladay (8-4, 1.96) vs. Yankees LHP C.C. Sabathia (6-3, 4.01)

Yankees vs. Phillies: Spring training aside, it's the Phillies' first matchup against the team that vanquished them in the World Series. The Phillies won two out of three at Yankee Stadium last regular season, but lost two out of three during the World Series.

Halladay vs. Yankees: His worst outing of the year came against former nemesis Boston back in late May. But Halladay has a sub-3.00 ERA in 35 career starts against the Yankees.

Sabathia vs. Phillies: The Phillies have enjoyed moderate success against the hulking lefty, beating him in the NLDS in 2008, and the World Series and regular season in 2009. But Sabathia has had some tough luck this season, leading many in New York to believe that he is about to get really hot.

LF Raul Ibanez: The veteran hit a two-run homer against the Red Sox Sunday, his first home run in 26 games, and now has nine hits in his last 23 at-bats.

2B Chase Utley: Utley enters the series hitting just .256, the lowest his average has been this late into a season since he became an everyday player in 2005. He is hitting just .158 in the month of June.
