Minor Leagues: Phils roll to 13-2 win at New Britain

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Cody Overbeck had a homer and four RBIs and Quintin Berry had a triple and three RBIs as the Reading Phillies crushed the New Britain Rock Cats, 13-2, in the Eastern League on Thursday afternoon.

Drew Naylor scattered nine hits over six innings to get the win. The 24-year-old native of Brisbane, Australia, struck out five and did not allow a walk.

Southern Maryland 4, Camden 0

The Riversharks' Ben Davis took a no-hitter into the ninth inning before leaving, and the Blue Crabs won in 10 innings on a two-run double by Travis Garcia, in an Atlantic League game at Campbell's Field.

Maryland starter Jarrett Santos pitched a two-hit shutout through nine.

Neither starter got a decision.

SYRACUSE - Shairon Martis pitched seven shutout innings to lead the Chiefs past the IronPigs in the International League.

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Jesse Beal allowed one run in seven innings as the Shorebirds beat the BlueClaws in the South Atlantic League.
