Minor Leagues: Trenton, Warren halt New Britain

TRENTON - The Trenton Thunder rode two homers in the third inning to a 4-3 victory over the New Britain Rock Cats on Tuesday afternoon. Daniel Brewer had a two-run homer, then Brandon Laird added a solo shot.

Adam Warren earned his third consecutive win, giving up five hits and three runs over 61/3 innings.

RICHMOND, Va. - Finishing a game that had been suspended after six innings due to a lighting malfunction, the Phillies cruised by the Flying Squirrels.

In the full game that followed, the Flying Squirrels turned the tables on the R-Phils. Brandon Belt had a two-run triple, then scored on Conor Gillaspie's sacrifice fly for a three-run lead in the first.
