Minor Leagues: IronPigs demolish Red Wings

ALLENTOWN - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs easily dispatched the Rochester Red Wings, 10-3, in an International League game on Friday night. Lehigh Valley also got a strong outing from Brian Gordon, who pitched six innings for his third win and lowered his ERA to 1.01.

Erik Kratz and Tagg Bozied homered for the IronPigs. Kratz went 3 for 5 with three RBIs, while Ronnie Belliard had two RBIs.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Mario Hollands threw seven strong innings, allowing three hits and striking out three in picking up his fourth win as the BlueClaws shut out the Grasshoppers in the South Atlantic League.

The Florida State League game beween the Clearwater Threshers and the Fort Myers Miracle was postponed due to excessive moist turf. The two will play a doubleheader on Saturday night.
