Minor Leagues: Rizzotti hits two as Phils win

AKRON, Ohio - Matt Rizzotti hit a pair of home runs and Austin Hyatt struck out eight in six innings as the Reading Phillies beat the Akron Aeros, 7-1, in the Eastern League on Tuesday night.

 ALLENTOWN - Brandon Laird slugged a three-run homer in the top of the 14th, and the Yankees beat the IronPigs in the International League.

Lehigh Valley's only run came in the sixth on a double by Pete Orr and a single by Brandon Moss.

TRENTON - Kevin Howard's two-run single in the third inning gave the Fisher Cats the win over the Thunder in the Eastern League.

Trenton starter Graham Stoneburner struck out six in six innings but took the loss.
