What'd he say about Chris Carpenter?

THE TEXAS Rangers are trying to figure out who released the profanity-laden locker-room speech that manager Ron Washington gave to his players before the team's Game 7 clash with the Cardinals in the World Series.
"It's unacceptable for this type of thing to be out there," Rangers general manager Jon Daniels told ESPNDallas.com yesterday. "It was a private moment for the team, not meant for anyone else's ears. We're looking into it, probably won't have additional comments until we've finished that process."
Matt Sebek of JoeSportsFan.com, the site that first posted the audio of the speech, wrote that it "was recorded by a member of the Rangers clubhouse staff" and sent to the website by "an anonymous third party."
To say there's a bit of cussing in it is like saying there are a few potholes in Center City.
By SportsGrid.com's unofficial count, Washington used the F-word 16 times, and said M-fing 13 times.
"I would say 99 percent of the comments and emails we're getting are positive toward Washington," Sebek told ESPNDallas.com. "Most people say they'd like to play for him."
It's easy to see why.
Washington was engaging, inspiring and flat-out funny while trying to motivate his team, which went on to lose the game, 6-2.
One part of the speech we particularly enjoyed was when Washington talked about his team facing Cardinals starter Chris Carpenter:
"They think because they're pitching Carpenter, they're [bleeping] OK," he said. "I just came out of that [bleeping] press conference up there and all they [bleeping] want to talk about is Carp. You know what I said? [Bleep] Carp. I did. If they read between the lines, they got, '[bleep] Carp' out of that."
Good stuff.
If you ask us, the Rangers ought to forget about tracking down who leaked the tape and put together their own compilation of Washington's words of wisdom.
Call it the "Best of Ron Washington." We predict it would go double-platinum in a week.
