The Phillies will introduce a variable pricing model that will keep both season and individual ticket prices at the same level for 2013.

Prices for 10 games will increase by variable amounts depending on the seat and will decrease for 10 other games. Seven of the 10 cheaper games come during April and September when school is in session. In total, ticket prices remain at the same level as 2012.

"It's something a lot of teams have done," said John Weber, vice president of ticket sales and operations.

Invoices were mailed to season-ticket holders Thursday and Friday, Weber said.

The Phillies led Major League Baseball in total attendance for the second straight season. They sold 3,565,718 tickets in 2012.

Roster moves. The Phillies outrighted infielder Pete Orr and catcher Steven Lerud off the 40-man roster to triple A. Orr hit .315 in 35 games during his second straight year taxiing between Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia. Lerud batted 10 times in three games as the team's fourth-string catcher.

In addition, Toronto claimed righthander Tyson Brummett off waivers from the Phillies. Brummett, 28, recorded two outs in his only appearance, which came during Game 162. The moves put the Phillies at 37 (plus four 60-day disabled list players) on the 40-man roster.

New scouts. The Phillies promoted area amateur scout Eric Valent to northeast regional supervisor. They also hired Scott Trcka as midwest supervisor. Trcka held that position in the late 1980s and 90s. He signed, among others, Scott Rolen.
