Chase Utley to rehab in Clearwater

Charlie Manuel said this afternoon that Phillies second baseman Chase Utley will join the team tomorrow in Washington, D.C. when they take on the Nationals and could head to Clearwater as early as Sunday.

Utley, who has been in Arizona rehabbing, has yet to play in a game this season after missing nearly half of the 2011 campaign with a knee injury.

According to Matt Gelb of the Inquirer, this does not guarantee that Utley will immediately see game action, since he has not yet seen team doctors.
