Former Phillies manager Jim Fregosi was taken off life support Thursday after being airlifted from a cruise to a Miami hospital, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.

Important clarification from Dennis Gilbert: Jim Fregosi was taken off life support in Miami hospital. Thought he had died. So sorry.

According to Tracy Ringolsby of MLB.com, Fregosi suffered multiple strokes while he was on a cruise in the Cayman Islands and was flown to Miami Wednesday night.
