A weekly look at how the Eagles have fared under coach Andy Reid continues with Week 16, 2006:
The Eagles won their fourth in a row by beating Dallas, 23-7, in the only Christmas Day game in franchise history.
Left for dead at 5-6 4 weeks earlier, the victory was the third road win in as many weeks – all against NFC East rivals - and clinched an improbable playoff berth.
Adding to the fun, for Eagles fans, was that Dallas wide receiver Terrell Owens was held to two catches for 23 yards and fumed after the game about not being more involved in the Cowboys offense.
"It's a Merry Christmas, I'll tell you that," said cornerback Lito Sheppard, who had a game-clinching interception. "We knew if we took away their big plays, we would give ourselves a chance."
Reid's Week 16 record: 3-4 with two byes. Last year: Won at New Orleans, 38-23.
