A weekly look at how the Eagles have fared under coach Andy Reid continues with Week 17, 2003:

Donovan McNabb accounted for all four touchdowns as the visiting Eagles overwhelmed the Redskins, 31-7. The victory clinched the Eagles third straight NFC East title and gave the Birds a first-round bye. It also was Steve Spurrier's last as Washington coach.

McNabb threw three touchdown passes and no interceptions as the Eagles seized the conference's No. 2 seed behind St. Louis.

The win became bittersweet after the Eagles learned that running back Brian Westbrook sustained a torn tricep muscle in his left arm and would be unavailable for the postseason. Three weeks later, the Eagles offense was stifled in a dismal loss to Carolina, 14-3.

Reid's Week 17 record: 6-3, including 1-2 in meaningless games. Last year: Beat Buffalo, 17-9.
