TORONTO - Although he has missed the 76ers' last five games, Allen Iverson is expected to start in Sunday's All-Star Game, according to a source close to the 34-year-old guard.

Iverson has not played with the Sixers since Jan. 31; he has been excused to be with his daughter, who is ill.

The source also indicated that Iverson would address the media tomorrow in Dallas, the host city of the All-Star Game, and that Iverson intends to return to the Sixers after the all-star break, when they host the Miami Heat on Tuesday.

"We haven't really heard much, just [that he is] dealing with the family issues," Sixers guard Lou Williams said. "The only thing I know is that his daughter is sick and he's taking care of her."

In 22 games with the Sixers, Iverson is averaging 14.7 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.5 turnovers.

Iguodala chosen. USA Basketball selected 27 NBA stars, including Sixers swingman Andre Iguodala, for its pool of players to choose rosters for this summer's world championships and the 2012 Olympics.

Evans' return. Last night, former Sixers forward Reggie Evans was on Toronto's active roster for the first time this season. Evans was placed on the inactive list Oct. 28 with a sprained left foot. On June 9, 2009, the Sixers traded Evans to Toronto for forward Jason Kapono. Evans played two seasons for the Sixers.

No Turkoglu. Hedo Turkoglu, Toronto's starting forward, missed last night's game for personal reasons. This season, Turkoglu is averaging 12.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.

No return. The Sixers' team plane, which usually returns on the night of a game, was grounded in Toronto last night because of the snowstorm.

The travel delay at the start of the Sixers' all-star break threw a wrench into many vacation plans.

Williams said being stuck in Toronto could help the team focus on the task at hand.

"It's a trap game," Williams said. "Everybody's already talking about vacation. It has to be a game we get through and put our hats on for another 48 minutes."
