Fisher signs with Thunder

AFTER WINNING five NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, Derek Fisher chose the West-leading Oklahoma City Thunder as the team where he wants to go for No. 6.

Fisher signed with the Thunder for the remainder of the season on Wednesday, not quite a week after he was traded to Houston by the Lakers and subsequently bought out of his contract instead of playing with the Rockets.

Fisher, who picked jersey No. 37, the same as his age, had five points in 19 minutes in last night's 114-91 win over the visiting Los Angeles Clippers. Kevin Durant had 32 points for the Thunder.

The Thunder made room for Fisher by waiving forward Ryan Reid, a second-round pick in 2010.

At Toronto, John Lucas scored all 13 of his points in the fourth quarter, Luol Deng had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and the Chicago Bulls beat the Raptors, 94-82.

* At Orlando, Ryan Anderson hit seven three-pointers and scored 29 points as the Magic held off the Phoenix Suns, 103-93.

* At Newark, N.J., Nene had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Washington Wizards to a 108-89 win over the New Jersey Nets.

* At Atlanta, Joe Johnson hit a tying three-pointer at the end of regulation and knocked down a baseline jumper with 10 seconds left in overtime, to lead the Hawks to a 103-102 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Josh Smith led Atlanta with 32 points and 17 rebounds.

* At New Orleans, rookie Klay Thompson scored a career-high 27 points, David Lee added 25 and the Golden State Warriors ended a four-game losing streak with a 101-92 win over the Hornets.

* At San Antonio, Tim Duncan had 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Spurs over the Minnesota Timberwolves, 116-100.

* At Denver, JaVale McGee rebounded a missed free throw following a basket with 5 seconds remaining and dunked to give the Nuggets a 116-115 win over the Detroit Pistons. Ty Lawson led the Nuggets with 25 points. Detroit's Ben Gordon scored 45 points and made all nine of his three-pointers.

* At Dallas, Kobe Bryant had 30 points and Pau Gasol added 27 at the Los Angeles Lakers topped the Mavericks, 109-93.

Charlotte waived 29-year-old Boris Diaw after the veteran forward reached an agreement on a buyout that will allow him to sign with another team.

* Portland guard Elliot Williams will have surgery on his left shoulder, which he dislocated in practice, and miss the rest of the season.

* Miami signed center Ronny Turiaf, who has missed much of this season with a broken left hand. Denver acquired Turiaf as part of a three-team deal from Washington at the trade deadline. The Nuggets bought out his contract and he cleared waivers on Tuesday.
