LAVOY ALLEN reached out to actress Stacey Dash, a fellow Mitt Romney supporter, after their candidate lost Tuesday's election.
The Sixers' forward sent the "Clueless" star a tweet that said, "don't worry we will get through this together, if you need a shoulder to cry on I'm only a phone call away"
Dash, who is of African-American and Mexican descent, received a slew of racially charged tweets last month after she endorsed Romney.
No pot for players
Colorado and Washington became the first states to legalize recreational marijuana on Tuesday. But that doesn't mean Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning or Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez, or NCAA players in those states, can start living the high life.
The NFL, MLB and NCAA all said players must still abide by their organization's substance-abuse policies, which forbid the use of marijuana.
Obama's got game
Scottie Pippen played a role in President Obama's re-election.
Obama traditionally plays basketball on Election Day. The one time he didn't was in 2008 when he lost to Hilary Clinton in the New Hampshire primary .
On Tuesday, Obama played and won; both the game and the election.
Pippen said Obama has a "smooth game" but noted that defenders gave the President a wide berth.
"I thought the lanes used to open up when Michael Jordan used to drive, but when I saw the President drive I thought they were bringing the whole motorcade down the lane."
Close shave
More than two dozen Colts players, including quarterback Andrew Luck, shaved their heads as a show of support for head coach Chuck Pagano, who is battling cancer.
"We all don't look good," punter Pat McAfee told the Indianapolis Star. "I'm not built to have a bald head. I've got a huge sniffer. But we all love our coach so much that we want to show unity and let people know we're all in this together. It's a really cool thing."
