Jrue Holiday earns his first All-Star selection

Philadelphia 76ers guard Jrue Holiday has been selected to his first NBA All-Star game as a reserve, the league announced Thursday.

In his fourth season out of UCLA, Holiday leads the Sixers in points per game (19.0), assists per game (9.0) and minutes per game (38.1).

Holiday essentially cemented his first All-Star selection after leading the Sixers to an overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors, 108-101, back on Jan. 18.

In that game he scored 33 points, including all 12 of the Sixers' points in overtime, and recorded 14 assists.
