Sixers might send Kazemi overseas

The 76ers are considering sending second-round pick Arsalan Kazemi overseas for the upcoming season.

Under NBA rules, they would retain the rights to the power forward out of Oregon.  He, however, would not count against the Sixers' salary cap or luxury tax for the 2013-14 season.

"He would get a chance to work on his game somewhere else for a year," Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie said of the option. "Then [we] would have the opportunity to reassess where he is later.

"I think that's an attractive opportunity for someone like him."

The 6-foot-7, 226-pounder averaged 9.4 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1.4 assists en route to being named an all-Pac-12 honorable-mention player. The 23-year-old, who played his first three seasons at Rice, averaged 11.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals during his four-year college career.
