Lyndsey Patterson, Karina Maruyama, and Joanna Lohman scored for the Independence, which will open its inaugural Women's Professional Soccer season April 11 against the Atlanta Beat at West Chester University.
Next for the Independence is a scrimmage at the Washington Freedom on March 27. The final preseason exhibition match will be against Penn State on April 1 at United Sports.
