Union midfielder-forward Sebastien Le Toux said he thoroughly enjoyed playing last week against Manchester United, among the best soccer clubs in the world. Le Toux hopes the rematch is even better.

A week after the Union lost a 1-0 friendly to the English power, Le Toux gets a rematch during Wednesday's MLS all-star game against United at Houston's Reliant Stadium.

"Playing against the greatest players was very nice," Le Toux said. "I'm going to enjoy playing them again and will try my best to have a good game."

Le Toux has clearly been one of the most pleasant surprises of the MLS season. The 26-year-old Le Toux appeared in 28 games last season for the expansion Seattle Sounders FC, making 15 starts. He had one goal and three assists.

This season, he has been among the most effective offensive performers in MLS.

Le Toux has seven goals and seven assists in just 12 games for the 4-8-2 Union. He missed two games with an ankle injury.

Whether he has played as an attacking midfielder or up top, Le Toux has been dangerous, using his strength to shield the ball from defenders and showing an explosiveness in taking it at them.

He has also proven to be an accurate passer, especially from long range.

His improvement has coincided with the offensive freedom he has been give by Union team manager Peter Nowak.

"I didn't get to play this style last year," he said.

This season, he has not only been a leader on the field but has helped the Union bring along a number of young players, including forward Danny Mwanga.

"He has set a great example for the younger players," Nowak said.

Le Toux is looking forward to the second half of the season with the Union. But before returning to the team, he would like to see a different outcome against United.

"I'm hoping to score this time against them," he said smiling. "And we'd like to win the game."
