Soul lose Graziani and second straight game

DALLAS - Quarterback Tony Graziani went down with a separated shoulder in the first half last night, and the Soul could not win without him.

The Dallas Desperados ran their Arena Football League record to 7-0 by beating the Soul, 51-41, at the American Airlines Center.

Desperados quarterback Clint Dolezel completed 20 of 41 passes for 285 yards and five touchdowns. He threw one interception.

In the third quarter, Dolezel fired a 46-yard scoring pass to Willis Marshall for the quarterback's 800th arena league touchdown pass.

Juston Wood filled in at quarterback after Graziani was hurt. Wood completed 18 of 37 passes for 213 yards and five touchdowns, but he threw three interceptions.

Wide receivers Steve Gonzalez and Sean Scott scored two touchdowns apiece for the Soul (4-2), who lost their second straight game.

The Soul will return to action Monday with a game against the Destroyers in Columbus, Ohio.
