Key injuries: For the Brigade, WR Ira Gooch (back) is out. DB Travis Coleman (foot) is doubtful. For the Soul, QB Tony Graziani (shoulder), WR Larry Brackins (hamstring), DL Jason Davis (knee), WR Scottie Vines (hamstring), and WR-LB Sean Scott (hamstring) are out. FB Matt Bernstein (knee sprain) is doubtful. DB Mike Brown (hamstring), OL Kelvin Chaisson (back), and DB Brian Mance (torso) are questionable.

Streaks: The Brigade have lost two consecutive games. The Soul have lost four in a row.

Points per game: For the Brigade, 51.1. For the Soul, 52.8.

Key performers: For the Brigade, QB Raymond Philyaw has completed 186 of 266 passes for 2,136 yards and 35 touchdowns, with seven interceptions. WR Charles Frederick has accounted for 18 TDs, nine rushing and nine receiving. DB Kenny McEntyre has three interceptions, nine pass breakups and 29 tackles. WR Jerel Myers has 50 receptions for 576 yards and 11 TDs.

For the Soul, QB Juston Wood will make his second consecutive start. Wood completed 27 of 42 passes for 308 yards, five TDs and three interceptions in last week's loss to Chicago. DL Bryan Save leads all rookies with three sacks. WR Charles Pauley has 56 receptions for 823 yards and 14 TDs. DB Eddie Moten is tied for second in the AFL with six interceptions.

Comings and goings: The Soul signed QB Leon Murray and DL Delbert Cowsette. They released QB Clint Stoerner and waived WR Steve Gonzalez.

Fast fact: In the first halves this season, Wood has completed 20 of 26 passes for 266 yards and seven TDs, with no interceptions. In the second halves, he is 25 for 53 for 255 yards, three TDs and six interceptions.

Did you know? The Soul will hold a new-sock drive tonight. There will be two collecting stations - at the Broad Street and 11th Street entrances inside the Wachovia Center.
