About the Soul: They had a four-game winning streak snapped with a last-second loss to Milwaukee last Saturday. They continue to hold a one-game lead over Tampa Bay for the Eastern Conference lead.
About the Sharks: Bernard Morris replaced Omar Jacobs (concussion) last week and rallied Jacksonville from a 23-point deficit to a win over New Orleans .Neither quarterback is a prototypical pocket passer, which worries Soul coach Doug Plank. They can - and will - throw at any time, which can lead to big plays but also turnovers.
Did you know? Soul wide receiver Tiger Jones has caught at least three touchdown passes in five consecutive games.
Poll position: Last week's loss dropped the Soul to No. 3 in the weekly coaches' poll. San Jose is ranked first for the second time this season. Chicago is second.
Up next: The longest trip of the season as the Soul visit Spokane (3-4) on Friday. It's an 11 p.m. start.
