Soul coach Mike Hohensee has resigned after going 6-12 this season, the Daily News has learned.
Philadelphia lost a handful of close games early on and finished the season dropping five of the final six.
Hohensee, who was not immediately available for comment, is one of the AFL's all-time winningest coaches (134-112). He led Chicago to the 2006 league championship and just completed his first year with the Soul.
Speculating here, but one man who could be a candidate to replace Hohensee is Bret Munsey, who led the Soul to the 2008 championship. Munsey was an executive in the UFL, which is struggling to get its 2011 season off the ground amid massive debt.
