Wings pound Buffalo, 17-13

Jordan Hall had five goals, including a run of four straight in a 5- minute, 12-second span of the second quarter, as the Wings opened the 2014 season with a 17-13 win on the road over the Buffalo Bandits.

Jordan Hall had five goals, including a run of four straight in a 5- minute, 12-second span of the second quarter, as the Wings opened the 2014 season with a 17-13 win on the road over the Buffalo Bandits.

Kevin Ross and Kyle Buchanan each had hat tricks for the Wings, while Tracey Kelusky and Kevin Ross both scored twice. Garrett Thul and Kyle Sweeney finished out the Wings scoring.

Wings goalie Evan Kirk had 39 saves on 52 shots.

The Wings pounded Buffalo goalkeepers Anthony Cosmo and Kurtis Wagar, with Cosmo pulled in the third.

The Bandits had three penalties in a 22-second span in the second, one of which resulted in a penalty shot converted by Hall for his fourth goal.
