The Anderson Monarchs Reunion

A celebration of the Anderson Monarchs, past, present and future, was held at Anderson on June 10, 2017. The original Monarchs from the 1990's were honored. In 1995, the team became the first all-black team to play soccer and baseball in Philadelphia's Devlin League, and in 1997 they did a 13-day barnstorming tour in a 1947 bus to mark the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in the Major Leagues.
