Always one of the highlights of the Big East Basketball Tournament are the Friday night semifinals. This year featured games between UConn and St. John's and Providence and Marquette on March 15, 2024. The teams for the championship game are now set with number one seed, UConn, taking on reigning champion Marquette. It will be the first time since 1993 that the reigning champion and the number one seed have made it to the championship.
