See how beekeepers removed 100,000 honey bees from a Deptford property

The honey bee colony had been living, for years, in a home set for demolition.

After exposing the honey bee colony by cutting away a portion of the plaster and lathe ceiling, Swazey Farms beekeepers Josue Feliciano (right) hands a piece of worker bee covered comb with brood to Daryan Feliciano who will then inspect the comb for the Queen, carefully vacuum the bees from it and place comb in a frame and bee box. Swazey Farms beekeepers relocated a colony of bees to nearby hives so the bees could continue their life's work of pollinating and providing honey.
