What our photographers saw on Tuesday, July 16

Moments from our region as seen by our photographers.

Nelson Rodriguez, 62, from Brooklyn, N.Y. finds a cool place to chill along the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. as the region flirts with its first 100-degree day since July, 2012. He has a kayak and often puts it in the water, “but not today. Too hot.” He has a 91 year-old grandfather and family living in Vineland, and a friend in Camden so he has been visiting for years, always stopping at the river. He likes South Jersey, “everything is easier here. No traffic, no parking problems, and rush hour here is like a Sunday morning in New York.” He was born in Puerto Rico and is a retired New York City sanitation worker.
