House of the week: A rowhouse in Passyunk Square for $720,000
The South Philly home is at the end of a row, making for light on three sides, and has a roof deck.

Anthony Pariano grew up in Cleveland, but Major League Soccer brought him east.
When his older son, Nick, joined the Philadelphia Union, Anthony and his wife, Elizabeth, followed. They rented a townhouse in Wayne, and then bought a house in Passyunk Square in 2019.
“It just felt like us,” said Anthony, an English teacher for 28 years and at the Haverford School for the past eight years. “The energy was just perfect.”
Elizabeth died in December, so Anthony is moving back to Cleveland to be close to his parents.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom house, built in 2013, has a brick facade and teal front door.
Three sides have large windows, and the 2,124-square-foot house has a 16-foot-wide living and dining space.
There are high ceilings, hardwood floors, and recessed lighting throughout.
The kitchen has 42-inch cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a large island, and leads to a private rear patio.
The second floor has two bedrooms, a laundry room, and a full bathroom.
The third floor has the primary suite, which includes two walk-in closets and a bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower with full-body spray system.
The roof deck has unobstructed views of the Center City skyline and a wet bar.
The finished basement has a full bathroom and could be used as a guest suite, home office, media room, or gym.
The house is two blocks from the Broad Street Line, a three-minute walk to Hawthorne Cultural Center and Playground, and a five-minute walk to Ridgway Park.
The house is listed by Naomi Kurzyna of Compass Realty for $720,000.
