On the market: A four-bedroom stone Colonial in Doylestown for $749,900
The house is ideal for raising kids, the owner says: It is on a cul de sac, has a spacious backyard, and is in the Central Bucks School District.
After three daughters, Kiki Carr says jokingly, “my husband finally got his boy.”
But with Tommy Carr Jr. came a need for a fifth bedroom and the end of their time in the four-bedroom Colonial in Doylestown that they bought in 2015.
“We’re sad to leave,” says Kiki, a bookkeeper. “It’s really friendly, and the neighbors are fantastic.”
But she and Tommy, who runs the automotive repair shop in Chalfont that he took over from his late father, are moving to a larger place in the Solebury/Carversville area.
For a family that finds 2,620 square feet sufficient (more than 3,600, counting the finished basement), she says that the house is ideal for raising kids: It is on a cul de sac, has a spacious backyard, and is in the Central Bucks School District.
Although she and Tommy opened up the layout and made other improvements, Kiki says the house is very versatile for changes a buyer might want to make.
The two-story entrance foyer leads to a sweeping staircase.
The first floor contains a home office, a formal sitting room, a mudroom, and a gourmet kitchen with stainless-steel appliances by Thermador and Miele and white quartz countertops.
There is also a great room and a library with a stone, wood-burning fireplace.
The bedrooms with large windows are on the next level. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet.
The finished basement has a half-bath, home gym area, and media room.
The backyard is fully fenced with low maintenance gardens and a play area.
The kitchen was renovated in 2019; the HVAC system, roof and mudroom flooring were replaced in 2017.
The house is listed by Lauren Racobaldo and Jessica Gannon of Keller Williams Luxury, Doylestown and New Hope, for $749,900.
