“The basement is what I think sold us,” said homeowner Quianna Alfaro. It’s divided between an adult area with a wet bar and a children’s area with a media area and games.

But she quickly added that the size of the bedrooms and the open floor plan were also appealing.

“Nice corner lot,” says her husband, Michael, chief operating officer of a digital communications agency.

The four-bedroom Colonial in Buckingham Township they bought last year seemed to be the perfect place to raise a family, and in many ways, it has been.

Though the house is in the highly rated Central Bucks School District, the Alfaros, who are New Jersey natives, believe that there are better educational opportunities for their elementary school age daughters in their home state. They also want to live closer to family.

The house is 3,330 square feet and backs up to woods on a cul-de-sac. It has two full baths and two half-baths, including one in the basement.

There’s a two-story foyer with a new front door, mahogany handrail, wooden stairs with a carpet runner and a back staircase leading to the kitchen, which has white cabinetry with under-mount lighting, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a subway tile backsplash. The adjoining breakfast room has a sliding door leading to the deck

The formal dining room has a custom millwork doorway casing.

The living room has glass French doors and a bay window. The two-story family room has a gas fireplace and a wall of windows with views of the woods. An upper hallway balcony overlooks the family room. Downstairs are a home office and laundry room.

The primary suite is on the second floor and has two walk-in closets and a bathroom with a cathedral ceiling, whirlpool tub, large shower, and linen closet.

There is a custom baseboard molding throughout the home.

The HVAC system was installed in 2016. The Alfaros added an adjacent tool shed to the attached two-car garage.

The house is 15 minutes from New Hope, an hour from Center City Philadelphia, and less than two hours from Manhattan.

It is listed by Nicole Hudson Andrews of Keller Williams Philly for $820,000.
