On the market: A five-bedroom Tudor in Lansdowne for $459,900
The house has a detached garage, fenced-in back yard, hot tub, large rear deck off the kitchen, and wraparound porch.
“If we could pick up the house and move it to Fairmount, we would,” says Rich McKie.
But the five-bedroom, three-bath Tudor at the city’s edge in Lansdowne is highly immobile.
And future career moves for McKie’s wife, Stephanie Seiple, are making it logical for the couple to move back into Philadelphia.
Ironically, this is how they got the house in the first place: in mid-renovation in 2017 from a couple selling for career reasons. “They had spared no expense,” says McKie, although he and Seiple had to put in their own kitchen.
McKie and Seiple are both in the music industry, and Seiple now often takes Amtrak to New York and wants the shorter commute.
For the couple — and their two dogs — it’s a return to the city: They moved to Delaware County from the East Kensington/Fishtown area.
The Lansdowne house, which is on a large plot near the Media-Elwyn Regional Rail station and a street that empties into Spruce Street in Philadelphia, has a detached garage, fenced-in back yard, hot tub, large rear deck off the kitchen, and wraparound porch.
The first floor has a large open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen with hardwood floors; an exposed brick fireplace; updated kitchen cabinets, counters, and backsplash; a walk-in pantry; and new appliances.
The second floor has three bedrooms and two baths, and the third floor has an additional two guest bedrooms and a third full bath.
All the bathrooms are updated, and the house has central AC and forced hot-air heat. Total square footage is just over 3,000.
The house is listed by David Snyder of Keller Williams Philly for $459,900.
