TORONTO — As expected, 76ers reserve Mike Scott will remain sidelined for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Toronto Raptors on Monday night at Scotiabank Arena.

Scott, a power forward, missed the 108-95 Game 1 loss Saturday with a bruised heel and plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

“Mike is a big piece of this team in terms of what he presents on the court, position-wise, versatility-wise, shooting-wise,” Tobias Harris said. "So it’s a big loss for us.

“At the same time, it is a next-man-up mentality and everybody has to be ready and focused.”

The 6-foot-8, 237-pound Scott has been dealing with plantar fasciitis for a couple of weeks, the team said. He suffered a game-ending heel injury during the series-clinching win over the Nets on Tuesday.

The Sixers acquired the 30-year-old along with Harris and backup center Boban Marjanovic in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 7.

Scott has been the Sixers’ most productive reserve, averaging 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds and shooting 41.2 percent on three-pointers. He also brings physicality and toughness.

Lowry recalls a Yao moment

Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry was asked Sunday if he ever saw a player make things look as easy as Kawhi Leonard did in his 45-point, 11-rebound effort in Game 1.

Lowry recalled a game when he was with the Houston Rockets.

“I have one other game I have seen, and that is Yao Ming played Portland in Game 1 and he was 12-for-12, didn’t miss a shot, “Lowry said. “It was unbelievable and easy for him."

Yao led Houston to a 108-81 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2009 playoffs.

Lowry said there was one difference between Leonard’s and Yao’s performances.

“I don’t think [Saturday] was easy for Kawhi,” said Lowry, a North Philly native who starred at Cardinal Dougherty and Villanova. “He got to his spots, made threes, got to the free-throw line, his pace was unbelievable. It was not easy. Philadelphia tried their best. Kawhi just made shots and he was aggressive.”
