Keith Pompey recalls the successful stint Mike D’Antoni had as 76ers associate head coach back during the 2015-16 season. The expectation was that he would replace coach Brett Brown at some point the following season if the team struggled. However, D’Antoni opted to take the Houston Rockets job instead after the 2015-16 season.
