Keith Pompey says in his latest Locked on 76ers podcast that center Joel Embiid and coach Brett Brown were far from convincing in Monday’s postgame press conferences.

Pompey says Brown appeared evasive after the Sixers' 116-102 victory over Detroit when answering questions about Jimmy Butler’s suffering a groin sprain. The coach said he had yet to talk to the medical staff. It’s hard to believe a coach isn’t one of the people, if not the first person, to get an update when a star player is injured.

Also, Embiid continues to try to walk back his comments about being frustrated with playing on the perimeter when everyone knows he spoke from the heart. And Pompey talks about how the Sixers might have their hands full as long as Butler remains sidelined.
